CCS Students Participate in 111project “8308 Conference”

Posted: May 3, 2012 in Good News

Three CCS middle school students were given the opportunity to speak at the 8308 Conference last week in Norman. The conference coordinator, 111Project.org, asked the three to speak after learning that CCS middle school students desire to paint a mural or billboard to increase awareness of the need for foster families here in Oklahoma. Students spoke about how they would plan for and ultimately paint their advertisement. Students also shared multiple mural ideas that were created by our student body. Tyler Jackson, 6th grader, Tori Crow, 7th grader, and Shannon Ashworth, 8th grader, were very well-received by the 200+ conference attendees.
