Congratulations to all 17 of Mrs. Behrens’ Speech and Drama students who competed in the Optimist Oratorical Contests this spring. The Zone 4 and 5 finals were last Tuesday. Students include Noah Niederschuh, Brayson Williams, Jackson Mayberry, Ryan Bates, Avery Wharton, Clovie Knowles, Taylor Prince and Kat Nuttall. Winners Brayson, Clovie, and Taylor will join Candance and Christian Osterhout (Zone 3 winners) this Saturday, May 19th, to compete at the Optimist District (State) competition. One boy and one girl will each win a $2,500 college scholarship. We are very proud of all our students and wish these five students all the best as they represent CCS with professionalism and confidence!
